With more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Mike Horrocks possesses a unique and extensive blend of lending and risk management expertise, technology skills, process redesign abilities, and product management experience.
Horrocks’ background has enabled him to create go-to-market strategies for new solutions, help clients convert strategies into revenue-generating initiatives, and forecast market direction. Throughout his career, he has conducted thought leadership seminars, implemented a global web project management methodology, and designed the best-in-class credit risk management solution for Baker Hill.
Currently, Horrocks is the Senior Vice President of Product ManagementCorporate Strategy and Product Marketing for Baker Hill. Previously, Horrocks served as Baker Hill’s Vice President of Product, Vice President of Marketing, and Director of Client Services. Horrocks also served as an adjunct professor at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. Before joining Baker Hill, he held executive positions within several other organizations, including Experian, Profit Technologies, SAIC, Broadway and Seymour, Zions First National Bank, and Zions Bancorporation.
As Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Product Marketing for Baker Hill, Horrocks is a leader in the areas of strategic solution consulting, execution, analysis, and customer lifecycle solutions marketing and solution management, with a special focus on the banking and credit union segments. He guides the development of Baker Hill’s solutions to drive increased performance, profitability, and realized market share gains across lending solutions, risk management, and analytics. Furthermore, Horrocks is a seasoned speaker at many top-tier industry events and contributes regular thought leadership articles to Baker Hill’s blogs and whitepapers as well as other articles in industry sources such as American Banker, CU Times, and Independent Banker.
Horrocks received his bachelor’s degree in International Finance and Portuguese from Brigham Young University, where he earned the Board of Regents Scholarship. He earned an MBA at Indiana University, where he was also awarded a CIBER International Scholarship and was recognized as a Business Horizon Student Research Grant Recipient for his work in assessing the Chinese Commercial Banking market. Horrocks is a member of many associations including the Risk Management Association and Bankers Without Borders. In his free time, he enjoys traveling internationally with his wife and five children.
